The last Moelfre fisherman

Inspired by a small photograph in a lovely book on villages of Wales by David Williams,this poignant painting is of Roy Thomas who is now the only man fishing from the beautiful fishing village of Moelfre on the north coast of Anglesey. Roy is quiet man as is somewhat uncomfortable about being the subject of a painting, however i think he understands the significance of this work .  Thankyou Roy .
