Lake District Trilogy

Three days of great weather in Lakeland and three small studies painted on the spot .

Day one Tuesday 14th July .

The Old Man of Coniston. At 600m and just above Low Water Tarn . The most popular route up The Old Man, and boy was it busy !! On numerous occassions I had to stop because I couldn't see the path for the walkers. Wish I'd had some business cards! It was a good test of the kit . I'm going to liighten the load in future . By 17.30 I had the summit to myself and an almost cloudless sky . Very different from earlier in the day .
